Amended House Bill 158 Summary

• Permits individuals who quit work to accompany a spouse on military transfer to be eligible for unemployment compensation benefits in Ohio

• Adds exception to disqualification under division (D)(2)(a)(v) of section 4141.29 for spouses of active duty armed forces members or commissioned corps members of NOAA or public health service who relocate due to spouse's transfer

• Requires individual to be unable to commute from new location to former employment and be able and available for suitable work upon arrival at new residence

• Defines "active duty" and "armed forces" by reference to 10 U.S.C. 101

• Amends section 4141.29 of the Revised Code and repeals existing language
