Substitute House Bill 341 Summary

• Adds judges and magistrates to the list of designated public service workers whose residential and familial information is exempt from public disclosure under Ohio's Public Records Law.

• Requires public offices to redact judges' and magistrates' addresses from records made available to the general public on the internet, upon request.

• Allows spouses of designated public service workers (including judges and magistrates) whose residential information is protected to request removal of their names from county auditor's public internet records and general tax lists, with initials substituted instead.

• Renames the "domestic relations-juvenile-probate division" of Logan County Court of Common Pleas to the "family court division" and specifies the administrative judge serves as the clerk.

• Removes the requirement that common pleas court clerks maintain all journals, records, books, papers, and files pertaining to domestic relations cases.
