H.B. 369 Summary

• Enacts Section 3317.26 of the Revised Code to provide additional state funding to eligible school districts beginning fiscal year 2018, calculated as the statewide per pupil amount for chartered nonpublic school students minus the district's per pupil charter school payments, multiplied by the district's formula ADM.

• Defines "eligible school districts" as city, local, or exempted village school districts with a median income index less than 1.

• Amends appropriation sections 265.10 and 265.210 of Am. Sub. H.B. 49 to adjust education budget allocations, including increases to foundation funding (from $6,799,882,816 to $6,937,228,845 for GRF 200550).

• Allocates up to $40,000,000 in each fiscal year from foundation funding for special education students and modifies funding for school choice programs and other education initiatives.

• Repeals existing Sections 265.10 and 265.210 of Am. Sub. H.B. 49 upon enactment.
