Licensees of child day-care centers, type A family day-care homes, and licensed type B family day-care homes must notify caretaker parents when the Department of Job and Family Services determines the facility has created a serious risk to children's health or safety.

Licensees must provide notice within 30 days of the department's determination to all caretaker parents of children receiving care at the facility.

Notice must include a statement encouraging parents to visit the department's website for further information and may be provided in written or electronic form.

Licensees must provide a copy of the notice to the department.

The requirements do not apply if the department suspends the facility's license under section 5104.042 of the Revised Code.
