H.B. No. 521 Summary

• Amends section 4501.21 and enacts new section 4503.567 of the Revised Code to authorize "Girls on the Run" license plates in Ohio.

• Vehicle owners may apply for "Girls on the Run" license plates for passenger cars, noncommercial motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, or other approved vehicle classes, with design approval by the registrar and representatives of Girls on the Run of Franklin County, Inc.

• Applicants must pay a $20 contribution per registration or renewal (deposited to the license plate contribution fund) plus a $10 administrative fee for the bureau of motor vehicles.

• All contributions collected from "Girls on the Run" license plate registrations shall be paid to Girls on the Run of Franklin County, Inc. to support the organization's activities.

• The bill adds section 4503.567 to the existing list of license plate contribution sources in section 4501.21 that fund various charitable and educational organizations in Ohio.
