Allows public authorities to require professional design firms to indemnify them for third-party death or injury liabilities proximately caused by the design firm's work, but only for the design firm's proportionate share of tortious conduct as determined under Ohio Revised Code section 2307.23

Prohibits public authorities from requiring indemnification beyond the proportionate share standard and limits the scope to death or injury caused by the professional design work

Permits professional design firms to require subcontracted design firms to indemnify both the public authority and the prime design firm, limited to the subcontractor's proportionate share of tortious conduct

Allows public authorities to require insurance coverage and additional insured designations on general liability and automobile policies as a means of satisfying indemnification requirements

Preserves workers' compensation immunity under Ohio Revised Code chapters 4123, 4125, 4127, and 4131, and does not extend indemnification to claims barred by statutes of limitation or repose
