Amends Ohio Revised Code section 2117.06 to add new requirements for creditors attempting to collect debts from individuals outside of the probate process.

Requires creditors to reasonably inform individuals that they are not obligated to pay a decedent's debt when attempting collection from someone other than the estate.

Establishes that failure to provide this notification constitutes an unconscionable act or practice in consumer transactions under section 1345.031 of the Revised Code.

Subjects creditors who fail to inform individuals of their non-obligation to remedies available under section 1345.07 of the Revised Code, which provides consumer protections and enforcement mechanisms.

Repeal of existing section 2117.06 of the Revised Code concurrent with the amended version taking effect.
