Amends Ohio Revised Code section 5101.63 to establish a process allowing mandatory reporters of elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation to receive information about their reports from county job and family services departments.

Reporters who provide their name, address, and telephone number at the time of making a report may make a reasonable number of requests to learn whether an investigation was initiated, is ongoing, the general health and safety status of the subject adult, and whether civil or criminal charges were filed.

County departments must inform reporters of their right to request follow-up information and shall verify the reporter's identity before providing any information.

If another agency conducts the investigation, that agency must also comply with the requirements to inform the reporter about the status of the investigation.

The bill takes effect September 29, 2018, or the earliest date thereafter permitted by law.
