HB 710 Summary

• Amends Ohio Revised Code sections 4501.01 and 4503.181 to add "high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle manufactured for military purposes" to the definition of "historical motor vehicle"

• Allows military-manufactured vehicles to qualify as historical vehicles either by being over 25 years old or by being military-manufactured, without the age requirement

• Historical motor vehicles registered under this section must be owned solely as collector's items for club activities, exhibitions, tours, and parades, and cannot be used for general transportation

• Owners of qualifying historical motor vehicles pay a $10 annual license fee instead of standard motor vehicle taxes and can display either a historical vehicle license plate or original model year license plates

• Military vehicle owners may paint the assigned registration number on the front and rear of their vehicles instead of displaying a standard license plate
