State occupational licensing agencies must issue temporary licenses or certificates to military members and their spouses who hold valid licenses in other states and are on active duty in Ohio.

Applicant must hold a current, valid license from another state, be in good standing, provide proof of military status or spouse's military status, and demonstrate relocation to Ohio for active duty.

Temporary license is valid for up to six years but becomes void if the out-of-state license expires, the military member is discharged, or six months elapse after transfer to another state.

Licensing agencies may charge a fee not to exceed one-third of Ohio's standard licensing fee and must verify annual standing of the out-of-state license and report issuance data to the director of veterans services.

Licensing agencies must adopt rules to expedite applications and provide special accommodations for military applicants facing imminent deployment.
