• Defines "tactical medical professionals" as EMTs, paramedics, nurses, or physicians trained in tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) and tactical emergency medical support (TEMS) who work with law enforcement agencies

• Authorizes tactical medical professionals to carry firearms while on duty if the law enforcement agency specifically authorizes it and the professional completes approved firearms training programs

• Grants qualified tactical medical professionals the same right to carry concealed handguns in Ohio as concealed handgun licensees, including the same legal protections and restrictions

• Requires the Ohio peace officer training commission to establish firearms training standards and rules for tactical medical professionals through approved peace officer training schools

• Allows tactical medical professionals to attend the Ohio peace officer training academy to receive training comparable to law enforcement officers' firearms training requirements
