Prohibits state and local law enforcement agencies from using resources to investigate, interrogate, detain, detect, or arrest individuals for the sole purpose of immigration enforcement.

Bars law enforcement from inquiring about immigration status (except as required by federal law), detaining individuals based on federal hold requests, making arrests on civil immigration warrants, or providing federal immigration authorities access to interview detainees.

Prevents law enforcement agencies from providing databases to federal immigration authorities and prohibits peace officers from being deputized as federal immigration officers.

Requires the Ohio Attorney General to develop and provide a model policy on interacting with federal immigration authorities for use by law enforcement agencies, public schools, health facilities, and other state agencies or courts.

Allows law enforcement agencies to continue complying with federal immigration laws as necessary.
