House Resolution 278 honors the Ohio Association of County Boards of DD on the 50th anniversary of county boards of developmental disabilities in Ohio.

The Ohio General Assembly created county boards of developmental disabilities on October 25, 1967, to provide support and services to individuals with all types of disabilities and their families.

All 88 county boards of developmental disabilities across Ohio are recognized for their accomplishments through astute management and dedicated staff and volunteers.

The Ohio Association of County Boards of DD supports local boards through professional development, technical assistance, advocacy, and communication.

The House of Representatives commends the organization for maintaining excellence and extending best wishes for future years, with a copy of the resolution to be transmitted to the Ohio Association of County Boards of DD.
