Designates 2018 as the Year of the Scenic River in Ohio to honor the state's river systems and their role in promoting recreation and quality of life.

Marks the 50th Anniversary of the Ohio Scenic River Act and National Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, both established to preserve the natural, cultural, and recreational values of rivers.

Recognizes eight rivers (Little Miami, Ashtabula, Chagrin, Kokosing, Mohican, Olentangy, Sandusky, and Cuyahoga) and two creeks (Big and Little Darby) that have benefitted from these protective legislations.

Encourages Ohio citizens to participate in events celebrating scenic rivers and acknowledges individuals who have served as caretakers of public resources.

Directs the Clerk of the House to transmit authenticated copies of the resolution to Ohio news media.
