Recognizes January 2018 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month in Ohio.

Defines slavery and human trafficking as coercion, deception, or use of force/threat of violence for forced labor and sexual servitude.

Notes that an estimated 40 million people worldwide are currently exploited, with 600,000 to 800,000 trafficked annually across international borders and 14,500 to 17,500 into the United States.

Estimates 1,000 minors in Ohio are currently forced to sell sex with over 2,000 others at risk, with the average age of entry into commercial sex being 12 to 14 years old.

Directs the House Clerk to transmit copies of the resolution to Ohio news media and encourages citizens to observe the month with appropriate programs and activities.
