Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, each city, exempted village, and local school district must annually distribute educational information to parents of students in grades 5-12 regarding the prevalence, warning signs, and symptoms of eating disorders.

Content of the eating disorder information must adhere to guidelines established by the Department of Education in consultation with the Department of Health and the National Eating Disorders Association; districts have discretion in delivery method.

The Department of Education must develop content guidelines within 90 days of the bill's effective date and may revise them as necessary.

Districts must present evidence of compliance to the Department of Education upon request.

Bill also amends sections 3314.03, 3326.11, and 3328.24 to add section 3313.88 to the Revised Code regarding eating disorder education requirements.
