S.B. No. 270 - Sexual Harassment Prevention in Ohio General Assembly

• Requires all legislative employers to adopt and maintain sexual harassment policies with specific components including definitions, complaint procedures, investigation summaries, and disciplinary guidelines

• Establishes the General Assembly Sexual Harassment Task Force consisting of 8 members (2 senators, 2 house members, and 4 legislative staff) appointed by leadership to review policies, conduct annual anonymous surveys, and recommend best practices every two years

• Authorizes the Office of Legislative Inspector General to investigate sexual harassment complaints against members, staff, lobbyists, and related personnel, with at least one staff member dedicated to sexual harassment investigations

• Exempts the identity of complainants and victims from Ohio's Public Records Law during investigations and ongoing cases

• Requires annual sexual harassment training for all employees of legislative employers addressing policy contents
