Requires all firearm owners in Ohio to register firearms with their county sheriff within five days of possession, acquisition, or purchase.

Registration requires providing personal information including name, date of birth, address, firearm details (caliber, make, model, serial number), source of firearm, photograph, and fingerprint.

Sheriff shall waive registration fees for law enforcement officers and active duty armed forces members; other owners may be charged a reasonable fee.

Violators face misdemeanor charges ranging from fourth degree (first violation) to first degree misdemeanor (three or more violations); courts cannot impose incarceration unless offender has two or more prior violations.

Exempts antique firearms, non-serviceable firearms registered with federal authorities, federally licensed dealers conducting normal business, out-of-state visitors engaged in lawful firearm activities, and those temporarily possessing firearms for safety or training purposes.
