• Establishes a new section defining "certified registered nurse anesthetist" as an advanced practice registered nurse who must meet specific licensure and practice requirements under the Board of Nursing.

• Requires certified registered nurse anesthetists to complete a course of study in advanced pharmacology and related topics (minimum 90 contact hours) covering anesthetic agents, drug ordering authority, and Schedule II controlled substance regulations before licensure.

• Authorizes certified registered nurse anesthetists to administer anesthesia and perform related clinical functions while under the supervision and in the immediate presence of a physician, podiatrist, or dentist acting within their scope of practice.
