Reaffirms Ohio's commitment to strengthening sister-state relations with Taiwan, which have existed since 1990, and sister-city relationships with Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.

Recognizes Taiwan as Ohio's sixth-largest export market in Asia, with Ohio exporting over $424 million in products to Taiwan in 2016, and notes Taiwan's role as a leading importer of U.S. agricultural products.

Notes that bilateral trade between Taiwan and the United States totaled over $65.4 billion in 2016, with the U.S. as Taiwan's third-largest trading partner and Taiwan as the U.S.'s tenth-largest trading partner.

Supports Taiwan's participation in international organizations addressing environmental changes, humanitarian aid, disease control, and other global challenges.

Directs transmission of the resolution to the U.S. Secretary of State, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago, and Ohio's congressional delegation.
