OH HB140

Prohibits local authorities with a population of 200 or fewer from using traffic law photo-monitoring devices to detect and enforce traffic violations.

Requires a law enforcement officer to be present at the location of any traffic law photo-monitoring device at all times during its operation.

Allows officers who personally witness violations to issue tickets in accordance with section 2935.25 of the Revised Code.

Permits local authorities to issue tickets based on photo-monitoring device recordings only if the present officer did not issue a ticket for the witnessed violation.

Amends section 4511.093 of the Revised Code and repeals the existing version of that section.
