Ohio Veterans' Heritage Protection Act (Sub. H.B. No. 155)

• Prohibits selling, disturbing, or disposing of war relics located on public property or cemetery association property, with limited exceptions
• Defines "war relic" as cannons, artillery, statues, monuments, memorials, or plaques erected for or dedicated to wars or military service from specified conflicts (French and Indian War through subsequent armed conflicts)
• Allows governmental agencies and cemetery associations to transfer unwanted war relics to the federal government, Ohio History Connection, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, or other congressionally chartered veterans' organizations
• Permits temporary relocation or alteration of war relics only for preservation, repair, restoration, temporary public display, or war re-enactments by persons responsible for maintenance
• Establishes penalties including misdemeanor charges, fines up to $10,000, and mandatory restitution to United Service Organizations (USO) for violations
