Enacts section 153.81 of the Revised Code to regulate indemnification provisions in professional design contracts for public improvements in Ohio.

Permits public authorities to require professional design firms to indemnify them for third-party death or injury liabilities, but only for the firm's proportionate share of tortious conduct as determined under section 2307.23 of the Revised Code.

Allows professional design firms to require subcontracted design firms to indemnify the public authority and primary design firm for third-party death or injury, but only for the subcontractor's proportionate share of tortious conduct.

Prohibits indemnification provisions beyond those specified and does not waive any governmental immunities under Ohio law; indemnification does not extend to claims barred by statutes of limitation or repose.

Permits public authorities to require insurance coverage and designate additional insureds or designated insureds on general liability and automobile insurance policies in connection with professional design contracts.
