Enacts section 909.19 of the Revised Code to provide liability immunity for registered apiary owners against personal injury and property damage claims resulting from bee stings.

Immunity requires apiary owners to implement and comply with beekeeping industry best management practices established by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

Owners must maintain complete records documenting implementation and compliance with best management practices and make records available for legal proceedings.

Immunity requires compliance with local zoning ordinances pertaining to apiaries and compliance with all chapter provisions governing apiary operations.

Immunity does not apply to intentional tortious conduct or acts and omissions constituting gross negligence.
