Prohibits licensed health care professionals from engaging in conversion therapy when treating minor patients under age 18

Defines conversion therapy as seeking to change a person's sexual orientation or gender identity, including efforts to change behaviors, gender expressions, or reduce romantic attractions toward same-gender persons

Applies to advanced practice registered nurses, physicians, psychologists, professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and chemical dependency counselors licensed in Ohio

Permits supportive treatments that do not seek to change sexual orientation or gender identity, including assisting with gender transition, providing acceptance and coping support, and addressing unlawful conduct without orientation-based goals

State licensing boards must impose sanctions including license suspension, revocation, or refusal to issue or renew licenses for violations
