Daily cost-sharing requirements (copayments, coinsurance, deductibles) for services rendered by licensed occupational and physical therapists cannot exceed the cost-sharing requirement for an office visit to a primary care physician or osteopath physician.

Health plan issuers must clearly disclose on their websites and all relevant literature that occupational and physical therapy services are covered, including all limitations, conditions, and exclusions.

Violations of these requirements are classified as unfair and deceptive practices in the insurance business under Ohio Revised Code sections 3901.19 to 3901.26.

Applies to health benefit plans issued on or after the effective date of the legislation.
