Temporarily authorizes emergency medical technicians at all three certification levels (basic, intermediate, and paramedic) to perform medical services in any hospital area during the COVID-19 emergency declared by Executive Order 2020-01D on March 9, 2020

Requires that all medical services performed by EMTs in hospitals be conducted under the direction and supervision of a physician, physician assistant designated by a physician, or registered nurse designated by a physician

Suspends the application of section 4765.36 of the Ohio Revised Code during the emergency period to allow this temporary expansion of EMT duties

Declares the act an emergency measure necessary for public peace, health, and safety due to hospitals needing additional healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic

Takes effect immediately upon passage
