Amends Ohio Revised Code section 124.11 to add employees participating in prospective law enforcement training schools to the unclassified civil service exempt from competitive examinations.

Creates new section 737.061 authorizing the chief of police of a municipal corporation, with director of public safety approval, to conduct training schools for prospective law enforcement officers.

Requires prospective officers to receive reasonable salary during training period and allows chief of police to furnish supplies and equipment for trainees.

Permits chief of police to establish admission qualifications and conduct competitive examinations for training school students consistent with director of administrative services rules.
