Prohibits compensating any person in exchange for refraining from signing or circulating such petitions, or for agreeing to prevent another person from circulating petitions

Prohibits authorizing or directing an employee, as part of job duties, to interfere with petition circulation

Defines compensation broadly to include loans, gifts, deposits, forgiveness of debt, donations, advances, payments, transfers of funds, or anything of value

Violations of existing petition fraud provisions carry fines of $50-$500 or imprisonment of 3-6 months; violations of new interference provisions constitute a first-degree misdemeanor
