H.B. No. 753 Summary

• Creates a new negligent assault offense under Ohio Revised Code section 2903.14, classified as a misdemeanor of the third degree when committed with a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance.

• Establishes a misdemeanor of the fourth degree offense for any person 18 years of age or older who negligently causes physical harm to another person 12 years of age or younger.

• Applies to harm caused to another person or another's unborn child through negligent use of deadly weapons or dangerous ordnance as defined in section 2923.11 of the Revised Code.
