Creates the Volunteer Peace Officer and Firefighter Benefit Study Committee to examine disability and survivor benefits for volunteer and part-time peace officers and firefighters killed or disabled in the line of duty.

Committee shall investigate benefit funding sources, amounts, durations, disparities compared to career officers and firefighters, and potential state appropriations.

Committee composition includes 3 House members (2 majority, 1 minority), 3 Senate members (2 majority, 1 minority), plus representatives from Department of Commerce, Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund, and Public Employees Retirement System.

Committee must publish findings and recommendations by December 31, 2021, and dissolves upon submission of its report to the General Assembly.

Takes effect January 1, 2021.
