State board of emergency medical, fire, and transportation services must develop stroke patient assessment, triage, and transport guidelines within 90 days of the amendment's effective date and make them available on its website with periodic updates.

Each emergency medical service organization's medical director or cooperating physician advisory board must establish written stroke protocols within 180 days, including consultation with one or more local hospitals.

Medical directors or physician advisory boards must provide annual copies of their stroke protocols to the state board, department of health, and regional emergency medical services directors or advisory boards.

State board must make public copies of all protocols submitted by emergency medical service organizations.

Each emergency medical service organization must provide periodic training to personnel on stroke assessment and treatment, specifically addressing large vessel occlusion.
