H.B. 800 Summary

• Amends Ohio law to modify financing mechanisms for special improvement districts focused on solar, geothermal, and energy efficiency projects, as well as shoreline improvements.

• Changes special improvement district board composition requirements by increasing appointed representatives from participating political subdivisions from one person to two individuals.

• Repeals and re-enacts sections 1710.01, 1710.04, 1710.06, 3706.01, 3706.03, 3706.041, and 3706.12 of the Revised Code to implement the above changes.
