Recognizes the Great Lakes system holds 21 percent of the world's surface freshwater and provides drinking water to more than 48 million Americans and Canadians

Acknowledges Ohio's 312-mile Lake Erie shoreline supports $2 billion in annual angler and hunter spending, a recreational boating industry with 19,500 jobs and $3.6 billion economic impact, and provides drinking water for 3 million Ohio residents

Notes the Great Lakes maritime economy generates over $2 billion in annual GDP with more than $1 billion in wages for Ohio

Directs the House Clerk to transmit authenticated copies of the resolution to the Governor and Ohio news media
