Amended Senate Bill No. 107 - Summary

• Amends sections 2301.02, 2301.03, 3517.10, 3517.105, 3517.106, 3517.1011, and 3517.11 of the Ohio Revised Code to allow certain entities to file campaign finance statements electronically rather than in paper form.

• Requires the Secretary of State to make campaign finance information from electronic statements available online to the public through the internet in a searchable, viewable, and accessible format.

• Specifies that the domestic relations judge of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas to be elected in 2020 will take office on January 3, 2021 (rather than January 23, 2021).

• Establishes electronic signature requirements and procedures for filing campaign finance statements, deposit and disbursement statements, gift and disbursement statements, donation and disbursement statements, and electioneering communications disclosures.

• Takes effect one year after the first day of January following the bill's filing with the Secretary of State.
