Prohibits employers of physicians from requiring physician employees or prospective employees to agree to noncompete provisions as a condition of employment, including restrictions on geographic area, time period, employer, industry, or practice specialty after employment ends.

Allows employers to require noncompete restrictions only during the term of active employment, not after the employment relationship concludes.

Voids and makes unenforceable any agreement by a physician employee to waive rights under this prohibition.

Permits physician employees or prospective employees to bring civil action against employers who violate the prohibition and recover damages, attorney's fees, and costs.

Exempts management employees from the noncompete prohibition protections.
