Amends section 2911.21 of the Revised Code to clarify that placing purple paint marks on trees or posts constitutes valid notice against trespass.

Purple paint marks must meet specific requirements: vertical lines of at least 8 inches in length, positioned 3-5 feet from the base of the tree or post, readily visible, and spaced no more than 25 yards apart.

Landowners may use purple paint marking as an alternative method to communicate that entry is restricted and reasonably calculated to come to the attention of potential intruders.

Violation of criminal trespass laws remains a misdemeanor of the fourth degree with enhanced penalties for violations involving snowmobiles, off-highway motorcycles, or all-purpose vehicles.
