Amended Senate Bill No. 30 Summary

• Creates the Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission comprised of the Secretary of State (chair), two Senate members from different parties, two House members from different parties, one Ohio Republican Party member, one Ohio Democratic Party member, and additional members as appointed by the Secretary of State

• Commission shall plan and carry out events and activities throughout Ohio during 2019 and 2020 to honor the women's suffrage movement and educate the public about the historical significance of the Nineteenth Amendment, marking centennials of Congress's proposal (June 4, 1919), Ohio's ratification (June 16, 1919), and Tennessee's ratification (August 18, 1920)

• Establishes the Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission Fund in the state treasury to receive appropriations, donations, grants, and gifts from any lawful source, with funds used exclusively for carrying out the Commission's duties

• Commission members serve without compensation or reimbursement for expenses, with terms ending December 31, 2020; Secretary of State provides necessary equipment, facilities, and staff support

• Commission and Fund cease to exist on December 31, 2020, with any remaining unencumbered balance transferred to the General Revenue Fund
