Amends Ohio Revised Code Section 2933.32 to explicitly authorize corrections officers to conduct strip searches and cause body cavity searches to be conducted, in addition to existing law enforcement authority

Allows local detention facility administrators to require strip searches of inmates entering the general population after booking, or of current general population inmates at any time, to identify contraband, weapons, or evidence of crimes

Establishes that strip searches must generally be conducted by personnel of the same sex as the person being searched, except in exigent circumstances or when the subject identifies as a different gender than their birth gender and requests otherwise

Permits search personnel to remove/rearrange clothing and manipulate body areas if the subject refuses to comply during an authorized strip search

Exempts community-based correctional facilities and halfway houses accredited by the American Correctional Association from being compelled to conduct strip or body cavity searches
