S. R. No. 404 - In Memory of Cooper Snyder

• Honors the memory of Cooper Snyder, who represented Ohio's 14th Senate District from 1979 to 1996 in the Ohio General Assembly.

• Recognizes Snyder's service as chairman of the Senate Education and Retirement, Legislative Office of Education Oversight, and Ohio Retirement Study committees, and his status as two-time recipient of the American Legislative Exchange Council's Outstanding State Legislator Award.

• Acknowledges Snyder's community service roles including proprietor of Snyder's Hardware, Sunday school teacher, Rotarian, Mason, Great Oaks Task Force member, Clinton County Board of Education member, and trustee for various state organizations.

• Survived by his six children (Phillip, Harry, Marianne, Emily, Elizabeth, and the late Victoria), fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

• Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy of this resolution to the Snyder family.
