Ohio Senate honors the Vermilion-on-the-Lake Community Center on its 100th anniversary during the 2019-2020 legislative session.

The Community Center, known locally as "The Clubhouse," was constructed entirely from logs cleared from the surrounding area and has served as a meeting spot, wedding venue, and dance hall for the past century.

The facility features 600 feet of beach and boardwalk that drew numerous visitors before falling into disrepair; a charitable foundation was established in 2006 to restore and maintain the building.

The Senate salutes the Vermilion-on-the-Lake Community Center on its centennial and expresses optimism for its future.

The Senate Clerk shall transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to the Vermilion-on-the-Lake Community Center.
