Memorializes the Honorable Nathaniel R. Jones, a distinguished judge, civil rights advocate, and public servant who passed away.

Recognizes Jones' service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and his appointment as the first African-American assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.

Honors his role as a United States Court of Appeals judge for the Sixth Circuit, assistant general counsel to President Lyndon B. Johnson's National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders, and election observer who helped craft South Africa's new constitution.

Acknowledges his lifelong NAACP membership, receipt of the Spingarn Medal and International Freedom Conductor Award, and his five children: Stephanie, Pamela, Rick, William, and Marc, and eight grandchildren.

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to the Jones family.
