Acknowledges that census data determines the number of House seats each state receives and is used to distribute billions of dollars in federal funds to state and local governments

Identifies challenges facing the 2020 census including constrained fiscal environment, rapidly changing technology, declining response rates, and an increasingly diverse and mobile population

Commits the Ohio General Assembly, in partnership with local governments, state agencies, businesses, schools, and community organizations, to robust outreach and communication strategies targeting hard-to-count populations

Directs the Senate Clerk to transmit authenticated copies of the resolution to the sponsor for distribution
