Senate Resolution honoring the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), signed into law by President George H.W. Bush on July 26, 1990

Acknowledges the ADA resulted from decades of civil rights advocacy by people with disabilities, families, and allies, with bipartisan support from the Administration and Congress

Recognizes Ohio's contributions to disability rights through establishment of county Boards of Developmental Disabilities, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities

Commits the Ohio Senate to working with people with disabilities, their families, and advocates to address remaining barriers to equal opportunity and full participation in society

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to Ohio news media
