Urges Congress to maintain federal funding for Special Olympics, which has operated for over 50 years providing sports training, competition, and health services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Special Olympics serves more than 4.4 million athletes in 170 countries globally, including over 900,000 in North America and more than 27,000 in Ohio through approximately 200 community partners.

Provides over 58,000 health screenings in the United States and over 1.9 million globally, while training over 10,000 health care professionals domestically and over 220,000 internationally.

Federal funding represents approximately 10% of Special Olympics' organizational budget.

Directs the Senate Clerk to transmit copies of the resolution to U.S. House and Senate leadership, Ohio's congressional delegation, and Ohio news media.
