Director of Job and Family Services may waive collection of unemployment benefit overpayments paid for non-fraudulent reasons if the benefit was for a week of unemployment between March 15, 2020, and April 30, 2021, the individual was not at fault, and repayment would cause undue hardship.

Director may waive collection of Pandemic Unemployment Assistance overpayments under the CARES Act (15 U.S.C. 9021) if the payment was for any week of unemployment or inability to work between January 27, 2020, and April 5, 2021, the individual was not at fault, and repayment would cause undue hardship.

Act is declared an emergency measure to minimize impact to Ohio workers from the COVID-19 outbreak and takes immediate effect upon passage.
