HB 178 Summary

• Limits water flow rate through feature nozzles at public swimming pools, public spas, and special use pools to a maximum of 20 feet per second unless justified by the design engineer and fountain system manufacturer

• Requires pool plans to meet the new water pressure requirements in order to receive approval from the director of health

• Makes pool owners responsible for ensuring their facilities comply with the water pressure limitations

• Amends section 3749.03 and enacts section 3749.08 of the Ohio Revised Code

• Designates the act as "Makenna's Law"
