H.B. 347 Summary

• Establishes definitions and requirements for "replica motor vehicles" - vehicles constructed to replicate the make, model, and model year of vehicles at least 25 years old.

• Restricts use of replica motor vehicles to club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, maintenance trips, and similar non-general transportation purposes.

• Requires owners to obtain state highway patrol inspection and signed expert certification that the vehicle reasonably replicates the intended make, model, and model year before titling.

• Sets replica vehicle license fee at $10 instead of standard annual license tax and requires special "Replica Vehicle--Ohio" license plates.

• Exempts replica motor vehicles from certain equipment, emission, noise control, and fuel usage standards enacted after the year the original vehicle was manufactured or the year being replicated.
