Sub. H. B. No. 464 Summary

• Exempts transient noncommunity water systems from asset management program requirements, including demonstration of technical, managerial, and financial capability.

• Removes the requirement for transient noncommunity water systems to include asset management program information in well siting applications under section 6109.072.

• Defines "transient noncommunity water system" as a public water system that does not regularly serve at least twenty-five of the same persons over six months per year and is not a community or nontransient noncommunity water system.

• Prohibits the director of environmental protection from adopting or enforcing rules requiring transient noncommunity water systems to prepare, implement, or complete asset management programs.

• Amends sections 6109.01, 6109.072, and 6109.24 of the Ohio Revised Code, with existing provisions repealed and replaced by new language.
