Allows Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and School Employees Retirement System (SERS) disability benefit recipients elected to specific offices to continue receiving disability benefits during their term of office.

Eligible elective offices include: township trustee boards, village legislative authorities, school district boards of education, and educational service center governing boards.

Creates new section 145.364 establishing that disability benefits shall not cease upon election to these specified offices, unless the recipient otherwise meets termination standards.

Modifies sections 145.362 and 3309.41 to carve out exception for elected officials, changing the standard rule that disability benefits cease upon employment or election to covered positions.

Applies to both PERS and SERS members, providing consistent treatment across both retirement systems for recipients serving in designated local government and school positions.
